Sometimes it does....For example, if a normal venezuelan sung it, the lyrics would come out strange. It's the pronunciation of the country they live in.

Matisyahu is a prime example of this. Anyway, your hometown doesn't affect your singing ability, unless you count accent, which it doesn't make that big of a deal anyway.
