Ashura in Sonic 2

Can someone help me figure out how to get the Ashura in Sonic 2? I've never been able to do it, at least by how Sonic HQ says how to do it. Any help?

yes ill tell u, the codes can be found at www.gamefaqs.com

first put on the level select code and then access the level select menu and put in the debug code then play the game (emerald hill zone) and place a crap load of water falls everywhere and when u go through the list of objects one of them is invisable now place that every where adn try to layer them up and drop sonic through a huge clod of waterfalls and sonic might be ashura, there is 3 forms i have gotten a gold ashura, the normal ashura we know and a red adn green ashura. so try those ways.

I did that a long time ago on the 'Cube. It's pretty easy provided you don't go to far from the beginning. It's pretty cool, but his head looks a little messed up.

Its easier to pull in Sonic 2 Beta. Much easier. If you need it quick do this:
Get Sonic 2 Beta ROM
Debug and lvl select code (search for it)
Go to that hidden palace zone
Go into to debug and lay monitors until the game goes into slow motion
Break as many as you can at once
Break all monitors
Jump in water (Go deep)


I think you might have to have a shield on too, but i forget, its been a while

All I ever did was:

1. Go into debug mode in Emerald Hill. (s2final)
2. Become a ring. Scroll through the list of items until you see an "invisible" one, this will turn out to be a waterfall.
3. Place tons of them everywhere, until you see the life icon go green.
4. Become Sonic again.

Et voila!

Many thanks Matt! That was a whole lot simpler than what the moron who posted to SonicHQ said to do:

To get the green sonic you must enter the level select and debug code. Then you must choose one of the Emerald Hill Zone levels because the code only works in Emerald Hill Zone (1 or 2.) When you start the level press B, you will be a ring, then press A four times, you will be four rings in a row going up or down, you then hold C and right for about 5 seconds, then you go back to the begining, keep pressing A until your the top of a waterfall. You may not see yourself but you're there. Now do the same thing as before, hold C and right for about five seconds. Then press B and you'll be green.

No wonder I couldn't do it!

I did gees method. and it actualy works with any level with water, just turns sonic into different colors on different levels. and matts right gee, you dont have to break em. just place em. i actualy got a red ashura type thing on marble zone thing.

maby depending what pallete is in the level depends what colour(s) he is for example you got a red ashura and marble zone has lava.

uhh buddy tahts sonic 1, were talking about sonic 2 and emerald hill is teh only place to do that lol.
