I prefer "one-off" anime movies more than series, but they're pretty hard to get lately. And the worst thing is that usually those one-off movies get a series, a bad series at that.
One-off anime[/u]
-Judge (pretty weird
-Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie
-Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie
-Laughing Target (has ridiculously bad voice acting, cheesy dialogue and choppy animation, it's more of a "let's laugh at this bad film" entertainment fest than "wow that's cool and such" entertainment)
-Some film about a student who has "magic pussy panties" ("lucky gym shorts" in the American version), and they give her superpowers. I can't remember the name, but it's genuinely crazy, despite it's risque/WTF setting.
-Sonic The Movie (not really a one-off, since it was originally two videos, it's pretty average, but I enjoy it)
Anime[/u]
-Saber Marionette J (I've been meaning to buy the series on DVD, but anime or anything foreign in general is hard to purchase where I live)
-Sonic X (awesome art, animation and voices, but the filler episodes get frustrating quickly, and there's not enough of Knuckles and Big!)
-Pokémon *bricked*
-Robotech (the first saga, the other two sagas were just complicated and uninteresting to me)
-Megaman X4 cinema scenes (not really an anime, but it's just the animated story scenes of Megaman/Rockman X4, I found them pretty cool)
-Megaman 8 cinema scenes (see above)
-Kirby: Right Back At Ya (from the very little I've seen of it, I liked it)
And probably more, but because my mind keeps drifting off onto other subjects, I forgot (hey, you could have a drinking game about how many times I say "forget" in all my posts!).
I've been meaning to watch that Bomberman anime, as well as that 3-episode Megaman anime from the early 90s (not the cheesy American one, with Protoman as a baddie and everyone all muscular and stuff), but it's unlikely I ever will.
Someone really should make a Metal Slug anime, or a Megaman Zero one.
EDIT: Oh, I also enjoy Escaflowne, but the first time I watched it, it was near the end, and in Spanish; and the second time I watched it, I had bought the DVD of episodes 14 to 16, so I didn't understand a bit. Like plenty of anime, you need to watch early episodes to understand what's going on.

naruto= 1337 ^^ and i WOULD watch duel masters over code lyoko. hate to break it to you eco, but CL sucks. then again, so does duel masters, so one is screwed either way. i dont understand why they keep all the GOOD shows on late time slots. gotta love gundam seed. ^^ stick with us eco and watch decent shows. |
