I'm not a great fan of the American media. Ever since the first time I went to America, in fact >>
That was during Clinton's reign.

I'm a republican (kind of), read The People's Cube, and watch Fox News. At the cost of losing all respect on this site, I say these things because despite being surrounded by republican influences, I've never heard a republican call a democrat "baby eating." "Pinko Commie," yes, "baby eater," never. I use to watch Fox News and listen to Rush Limaugh when I was strictly Republican, but then I decided to go Independent and now I watch both CNN and Fox News. I have never really heard either side go out and directly insult the other...unless you're watching MSNBC, then it's just a bunch of swill.

What about Yule? It WAS originally a Pagan Holiday...
Though Trinity's "Midwinter" works too...Or for World of Warcraft fans (like me (Ometha, level 35 Alliance Shaman on Moon Guard. Elantina, 61 Horde Warrior on The Scryers)), Winter's Veil! XD *stabbed*
Though I always grew up calling it Christmas...Though I could try calling it Midwinter or Yule instead. ^^;;

The fact that there are people on here who watch Fox News, a news segment well renowned for unfairly accusing Mass Effect of being a pornographic game without actually seeing the game themselves and then refused to apologise to EA Games when proven wrong and still have yet to apologise to them, as well as labelling Anon as internet terrorists "on steroids"...
It worries me...

The topic changed again?
Sheesh. First the Evolutionism one, now this...What's next?
Oh well.
I watch CNN and MSNBC. Never watched Fox News.
Then again. I'm a Democrat.

Newswise, most of the channels are pretty unbiased. You'll have your detractors, but they mainly site the news commentators, like O'Reilly, Olbermann, etc. I mainly watch Fox because my dad watches it all the time, and once in a while, I catch the headlines to see what's going on in the world. I don't really watch the pundits.
@beathaya: The subject of a topic will change for no reason without warning on this forum. I think that's a law of the internet.

That People's Cube is rubbish. They have a good few points; Che Guevara t-shirts ARE bought exclusively by middle-class white kids, and the "Marxism" t-shirt with the picture of Groucho made me lol. But overall, it's just the typical, totally inaccurate American view of communism. Nobody seems to realise that Karl Marx would have SMASHINGLY turned in his grave if he'd seen Soviet Russia.

If you believe their creator's bio, The People's Cube was started by a Ukranian who had witnessed Communism fail (and I refer to the Soviet kind here, not the Marxian kind). He moved to the US and inspired by another satirical group "Businessmen for Bush", he created "Communism for Kerry." That later became The People's Cube. I mainly read them for their satire on democratic economic policy. It's a matter of comedic taste. stupid hos is my enemy: I've read Communist Manifesto, and yes, I realize that with Soviet's having a premier and government to make the decisions, their Communsim is just a bastardization of Marx's ideal. If we could just hook up all the corpses of innovators to generators and constantly remind them of what was done with their work, we could solve the engergy crisis! PS: After hearing about the term "baby eater", I tried looking it up. Didn't find it, but I did find this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_reptilian_kitten-eater_from_another_planet
