TW GET YOUR ASS HERE NOW. Also, we need a spriting one of these, too. Because...well, some peopl;e are THAT bad, and SSN mainly only covers pixel art editing, rather than smaller sprites. I don't like the RPG one, though, because it doesn't work in normal paint and they haven't given an alternative.

Since that this topic can't be bumped, I might as well post this: I've seen a lot of hoaxes with off-positioned HUDs. So basically, this'll solve the problem. Sonic MD Games' HUDs leave a space between the top/bottom left corner. These are the dimensions for those spaces: Whew! I'm glad this problems is solved ^^

If it helps, I'll upload ALL the Hoax files I use (HUDs, Life counter).
They have the necessary spaces. =D

Slight problem: They're all in BMP format. Hopefully, Photobucket won't mess them up... Sh*t. They're all JPEGS. Just open them up in Paint and sort them out, K? Sonic the Hedgehog 1: Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 / Sonic & Knuckles: Uploading the rest once my keyboard sorts itself out >=O

If anyone wants the Master System/Game Gear Sonic HUDs here they are: Sonic 1 (Master System) Sonic 2 (Master System) Sonic Chaos (Master System) Sonic Triple Trouble Sonic Labyrinth (not that anyone would hoax it) The black borders on the first two came with the emulator (MEKA), you can crop them if you do not have black borders on the sides.

Regarding your comment on "no alternatives", Zerox: HOW TO ADD TRANSPARENCY IN POWERPOINT (MUST be 2003 Edition)
FIRST THING. Paste your hoax so far into Powerpoint. See my notes on doing this in the "Retexturing in Paint" tutorial. Next, draw a shape where you want transparency. Most of the time you'll be using rectangles. Right-click, select Format Autoshape.
Select your colour (most of the time you'll use white) and select the transparency. 50% is a good starting block, just change it around to your specifications and hit Preview to check.
When you're done, copy BOTH the hoax AND the shape (Ctrl+Click) and paste back into Paint. Add your text and voila!
EDIT: Lol, 3000th post.

Why did the guys at SEGA decide on having the HUD in Sonic 3 have a white shadow?
