Argh. I lurve me some C & C. All real-life war sims fail. Supreme Commander FTW in the world of RTSes. Yes, real life warg games of any kind fail. But...have you even played C & C? It's Futuristic war. The only realistic one was Generals which sucked.

Well, actually Dune 2 did, but C & C was based off of that. And made by the same company. The original series is set in a world where an interesting substance with mutagenic properties has invaded the world. Red alert is set in WW II, but an alternate WW II, where Hitler is dead because Einstein went back in time and killed him , and Russians have come to power, and there's all sorts of weird science and fun to play around with. Generals sucks because it tries to be realistic.

Fools, you spam my topic! If you want to blather about RTSes then make a topic. >_>
Second CD production is done. I'm working on figuring out how to distribute it. Selling for a rather low price is the favored option right now. Sorry freeloaders. Chances are though that it won't happen due to parents so it'll end up being released free.
EDIT: ARGH IT WAS RELEASED FREE NOT RELEASE FREE. X(

Sorry Ksoft. Aaaanywho, since I'm a member of OCRemix, and have a decent amount of experience in music.... Firstly- you have a decent style, but it needs work and isn't good enough to pay for yet. I like you, you have a good dose of different that's needed. The main problem I have is the singing dude. Personally, I would say, get lessons and improve, or get someone to sing for you. That, and it's not a good idea to record it all in one take. Especially since you're working in FL Studio, which is what I use. Yeah, I make musics too. One thing I higly reccomend, STOP USING THE PRESET DRUMLOOPS. It kills your music. I know it's easy to just set the drumloop to keep repeating, but it's stupid. Trust me. It's fine to do it a few times, and play around with it, but otherwise no. For an example, here is my very first song. It isn't that great, but you can hear that there are zero preset drumloops- all done by hand. Takes more work, but is better in the end. Clickz0rAll in all, you show promise, but you need a bit of polish. Also, can I have the .flp file for Overture of Blip? I'd love to remix it. Please? :3

I'd give you the flp for Blip, but I think it's tied to my computer... those files are awfully small, so I think it just references the locations of all my samples. Maybe not. I'll look into it.
Anyway, thanks for the criticism. Different is what I go for-- I mostly listen to random indie music anyway. The singing dude is me, and those were my first tries. I didn't do them entirely in one take, but usually a verse at a time. I was rushed on my first CD to get it out by the end of 2006, so I didn't take ample time to work on fixing up the lyrics. However, I'm not giving myself a timeline for this next one with vocals, so it should come out way better.
Now about those drum loops. I wasn't aware I was using preset drumloops. You mean just the samples? I get lazy like that sometimes. But I do, in fact, go into the piano roll and put down my own drum beat. Maybe it sounds like a preset but it wasn't intended to be.
My parents don't want me selling this one anyway. I'll probably just release it free. However, Return of the Apocalypse is the name of my next big album, one that will be able to go for money. I'm putting my all into it: no rushing, new ideas, letting my friends help refine it. I have insanely high hopes for it. =D

Well, I'm pretty sure it works- that's how the guys at OCR do collab ReMixes. Anyway, thanks for the criticism. Different is what I go for-- I mostly listen to random indie music anyway. Thanks. Respect man. I love being different. It's what I go for as well. Ahh, rushing vocals is bad. That would be why. About the second part, sounds good to me. Now about those drum loops. I wasn't aware I was using preset drumloops. You mean just the samples? I get lazy like that sometimes. But I do, in fact, go into the piano roll and put down my own drum beat. Maybe it sounds like a preset but it wasn't intended to be. The preset drumloops all start with DL_. Like DL_Elements and such. Using them lightly is fine, esp. if you play around. I once made a song using reversed preset drumbeats. My parents don't want me selling this one anyway. I'll probably just release it free. However, Return of the Apocalypse is the name of my next big album, one that will be able to go for money. I'm putting my all into it: no rushing, new ideas, letting my friends help refine it. I have insanely high hopes for it. =D Good idea. In any case, add me to MSN, I could give you some pointers and possibly even help you a bit in your upcoming album. I'd love too.

Better than the first album. Only disappointment was Oh Snowze Part Two, as it wasn't as good as the original.
But me loves the rest.
EDIT:
I FOUND OUT WHERE THE FLPS ARE.
Drive :C> Program Files > Image Line > Fl Studio 6 > Data > Projects.

Hey, guys, I'm bumping my own topic now for a news update. I took the instrumental-only path and have released Return of the Apocalypse. It's up for money-- $12 USD. You can buy it from Cafepress by clicking here. It is far better than SSS due to me working forever on it and redoing a lot of it over and over as my skills have increased. You'll probably enjoy it. If you want to listen to some samples so you know what you're getting before you buy, I'm sorry to inform you that you'll have to use the EJ Myspace because my webspace is down and doesn't look like it's going to be back up any time soon. Neo is the only person that has bought a copy-- get yours today!

I'll probably get it for Christmas since it's coming around the corner and I can't get a game so I gotta save up for Super Mario Galaxy.
