(And to Matt; I would enjoy it if you'd put these up. More recent = later pages. Thanx!)
Wing Fortress falls into Oil Ocean Zone, which would make the zone a tad harder, methinks. It's definitely (sp?) not my best, but I think it's pretty good. The facial expression, IMO, is great. The oil used to be clipped off before it reached the end of the screen, but this has since been fixed.
Mystic Cave Zone gets the outside treatment. It's kind of cheap; all I did was disable the background layer in Mystic Cave, then paste it onto a spriteless Hill Top background - but I did have to reshade the HUD, which took a while. The filename (minus the 3 Imageshack random numbers), Route 56, comes from the fact that when I did this hoax, it looked like a highway you'd see in the mountains.
My personal favorite of these hoaxes, it's Labyrinth Zone Bad Future. (Yes, I know this zone has been Bad Futured several times.) The background is from Sonic 3 & Knuckles's Death Egg, the ground is recolored with Scrap Brain's palette, the pipes are from Scrap Brain Zone, the Unidus is from S3&K again, the piston is from Metropolis Zone (and it's floating one pixel above the ground... stupid me), and the machinery behind the grating is from Scrap Brain. There's also some metal plating from Scrap Brain, but it's hard to see now that the ground has been repaletted.
My first Advance hoax, done for CoolCorky. Sonic and friends go surfing in (an apparently flooded) Neo Green Hill Zone. It's kind of thrown together and cramped, and that's because I was limited to the small GBA screen. Credit to Dan Sidney for all sprites.
Sonic is confused at his name on the title card, as he states. He's referring to the confusing looks of the G's in "The Hedgehog". And such. *is mauled by Matt*
Have you ever noticed how that castle in the background of Casino Paridise looked a lot like the Sleeping Beauty Castle from Walt Disney World? I have, so here's a title card. I would also like to point out that the Y in "Disney" is completely custom.
Tech hoax, though it's so easy it shouldn't be considered as such. What's the answer? Highlight; That's the Death Egg Act 2 background. Wibble.
Matt sticks his aura-boasting self into Ice Cap. I paid as much attention to the Matt Running sprite as possible, though I think I got the hair size wrong. (And before you ask, yes, I know the life meter has the large, HUD text instead of the half-size text - it was because I couldn't make the half-size. Matt/Estel the Hedgehog is (C) Matt.
And, if Matt gets an appearance in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, you can bet that Dags will be bouncing along behind him. There's really not much else to say here. Dags/Akai is (C) Dan.
And, to top off the "Hoaxers in Sonic 3 & Knuckles" series, here's Kulock in Carnival Night. I'm not particually proud of the "K" in "K.T.M."... oh well. Kulock is (C) Kulock. On a side note, I was planning to make a title screen for this, saying "Matt 3 and Kulock", but I never got around to it... maybe I'll make it someday.
Here's the title screen of a game starring me and Cream. This is the first time I've had to do pixel art of myself... the sweater could've been a LOT better than it is, but the pants, I think, turned out great. The Sonic Advance 2 ending sprites are (c) Draik Solo.
And here's the menu. Once again, the sweater is not as good as I expected it'd be.. oh well. The Advance 2 select sprites are (c) Hybrid of Marble Park, the Sonic The Hoaxer and Cream life icons are (c) Cyb the Hedgehog, the little side things are (c) HXC, and I ripped the Sonic 3 Competition thing by myself.
The first zone, Crystal Lake (check out that title card!). The background and foreground I ripped myself, the slightly Genesis-ized Cream is an edit of Renn "Foxx" Ramos' Advance 3 Cream sheet, the Sonic the Hoaxer sprite is an edit of Fox Omega's Sonic 3 Sonic sheet, the Sonic The Hoaxer and Cream life icons are (c) Cyb the Hedgehog, and whoever made ripped the Cheese sprite didn't leave their name on it, though I still credit them. The Sonic Advance 2 HUD is (c) whoever made it.
And this'd be the boss of Crystal Lake. I ripped and edited the foreground and background myself, the slightly Genesis-ized Cream is an edit of Renn "Foxx" Ramos' Advance 3 Cream sheet, the Sonic the Hoaxer sprite is an edit of Fox Omega's Sonic 3 Sonic sheet, the Sonic The Hoaxer and Cream life icons are (c) Cyb the Hedgehog, and whoever made ripped the Cheese sprite didn't leave their name on it, though I still credit them. The Sonic Advance 2 HUD is (c) whoever made it, and Pixel Zone, the guy who ripped and edited the Eggman sprite and bomb, said not to give credit to him. Whoops, I just did.
And a cutscene. Now about the sweater here... I tried hard to make it look good, but it came out kind of bad. I'm kind of so-so about it. The Sonic Battle story sprites are (c) Mo-Pete, and I found the FE6 dialog box in Doomsday's sig, so I credit her.
Kirby gets stuck into Sonic Battle and inhales ...something invisible. I dunno. Rogulgot ripped the Kirby sprite and the little life icon thingy, so I credit him.
And now, Emerl gets one of Kirby's abilities, the Kirby Jump. Once again, Rogulgot ripped the Kirby sprite, so credit to him.
Mega Man finally gets a challenge worthy of his mettle (sp?) with Sonic characters standing in for the Mega Man 7 Robot Masters. By the way, there's also a tech hoax here... what is it? Highlight: How is the Wily (okay, Eggman) stage open when the other stages haven't been cleared yet? And stop highlighting.
If you take away the ImageShack random numbers, the filename says it all. Cream and Amy do Alice in Wonderland... or Amy in Wonderland, rather. I used SonicLover's RPG-style dialog tutorial, so you know who I credit.
It's Hydrocity Zone Bad Future (made entirely from Sonic CD tiles to boot). The foreground I could care less about, but the background turned out beautifully: I tried to follow the original design as much as possible. The tiles were mostly ripped by Mighty and Megatal of the Mystical Forest Zone.
Yes, it's Cream in Sonic Spinball - *character* in *earlier game* haters, you may run screaming from the room now. ...No, to be honest, I don't know why I didn't add in Cheese. On a side note, it's kind of funny someone would actually make a Cream sprite that had pink ears instead of the white everyone else uses. Gabriel, a.k.a. Frag, made the sprite here.
And here, Cream and Cheese replace Knuckles in Hidden Palace Zone. ...I have no idea why I made this hoax, to be honest. FroggyMudd made the Cream sprite, and Gabriel (Frag) made the Cheese sprite.
SonictheHoaxer enters Sonic Vegemite Zone, looks at the caption for Sonichaos' twelfth hoax, and is offended. Matt explains that it's his opinion. ...I'm sorry, I seem to have lost the ability to caption hoaxes.
Before you Shadow the Hedgehog fans out there brutally murder me, that's Matt's opinions, not mine. I've never played ShTH, nor do I plan to; allow me to quote a Star Trek movie and say, "They don't pay any attention to you unless you swear every other word". Shadow sprite taken from Shadow Divine Sheet.
Okay, first, I can't believe I made this, and second, there was originally going to be another frame before this, with SonictheHoaxer quoting Seven of Nine from Star Trek Voyager, saying "I'm willing to explore my humanity. Take off your clothes." I decided to make it one frame in the end, though. Clotheless Cream (C) MoonWarrior.
Teenage Cream. Egg Rocket. Custom lives icon. That I am proud of. That's all I have to say. Teenage Cream sprite (C) HC_Missile.
See filename, and remove ImageShack random numbers. Blaze steps into Sonic 3's intro. You may wonder why Cream is piloting the plane... well, Cream is Blaze's helper in Rush, and Sonic's helper is Tails, so... Gabriel, a.k.a. Frag, made the Cream sprite, and Phoenix did Blaze.
Blaze supers onto Angel Island now... not much else to say. Super Blaze was edited from Phoenix's Blaze sprite sheet.
Presumably, this'd be where Sonic pops out of the ground and steals the Sol Emeralds. Fox Omega modified the Sonic sprite, Blaze sprite (c) Phoenix, Cream sprite (c) Frag.
And Blaze tackles The Doomsday Zone - no-partner-to-help-you-out action, ahoy! Super Blaze sprite modified from Phoenix's Blaze sheet. Sorry the Blaze life icon text looks botched - I told you back at the "Hoaxers in Sonic 3" hoax series that when I try it comes out looking bad.
Yes, I KNOW Booo thought of this before I did, but this is different. It's exactly what it looks like - Cream and Tails go to fight that really, really, really, really, really, really, really easy Robot Master Topman via Mega Man: The Wily Wars. Now about the bit mix... Allow me to quote Doomsday in Booo's topic here.

I find Advance sprites work better with the Megaman games, as they are almost Advance-like despite being on SNES.So there you have it. Cream ripped by Ren "Foxx" Ramos, Cheese sheet didn't give a name, Tails ripped by Dave (Hypero) Edwards.
Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails take on Bombman's stage in MM1. When I took the shot with sprites to get the HUD, Mega Man got hit by the screw thing, so I thought, hey, why not make Sonic get hit by the thing? The Sonic sheet was one of those no-namers, and Tails was ripped by Dave (Hypero) Edwards.
And in Mega Man 2, the girls endure Crash Man's stage. (For some reason, the filename got cut off - the real name is "CrashMan'llProbablyWin".) Cream ripped by Ren "Foxx" Ramos, Cheese and Amy sheets didn't give a name.
IT SI TEH SAHDOW IN MEAN BEAN MACHINE ONOZ!!!1 He replaces Arms, for some reason. I would've replaced Frankly, but I didn't have the time. The Shadow sprite was created by Cylent Night.
Sonic R goes to the SNES, y'see (if you ignore the time paradox that caused Cream to pop up). Oh boy, credits section. *Deep breath*... Amy sprite from the Ultimate Amy sheet by Yoshindo, RadTH, AkumaTH, Killer, DP, Damien, BladeTH, Kharana, Scrap, Velota, Brohan, need4speed123, AdamTH, Hyperknux6, Duarte, Doed, Kithrixx, Cylent Night, Kajiin, Apocalypse, Bendilin, and others, Tails head slightly edited from Veckles' happy Tails head (and the head in question was originally ripped by Fox Omega), Sonic head edited from a Much2much (from http://www.much2much.bravehost.com) Sonic sprite, Tails ripped by Fox Omega, Cream originally made by Damien and expanded by MoonWarrior, and the "Onic" in "Sonic R" custom-made by me. All done.
And if y'don't see, you'll get plenty of chances to. Here's the character select screen. (Yes, I know this has been done before, but has it been done with this character lineup?) More credits. OH NOES. Sonic sprite ripped by Fox Omega, Amy sprite from the Ultimate Amy sheet by Yoshindo, RadTH, AkumaTH, Killer, DP, Damien, BladeTH, Kharana, Scrap, Velota, Brohan, need4speed123, AdamTH, Hyperknux6, Duarte, Doed, Kithrixx, Cylent Night, Kajiin, Apocalypse, Bendilin, and others, Shadow sprite from the Shadow Divine sheet, Tails Doll sprite by Hyperknux6, Tails ripped by Fox Omega, Cheese made by Damien, Knuckles ripped and palette-edited by Veckles the Echidna, and Cream by Damien. Whew! (Note the very creative filename.)
And finally, some gameplay shots. Here Cheese tackles Resort Island (Act) 4 via the Time Trial mode. Sorry about the Mode 7 glitch in the background, but SNES9x seems to have a problem with Mode 7 that's not on the racecourse. Cheese made by Damien. (Could it be? A short credits section?)
Here we have a Sonic Drift 2 zone, Dark Valley, as SNES-ized. It's (Act) 3, and Cream is taking to it. Cream edited from MoonWarrior's Ultimate Cream Sheet.
Now we skip ahead to an awards ceremony, where Sonic has just won a Chaos Emerald. This one was a real time-killer, and I payed as much attention to detail as possible. Now for the credits... Sonic ripped by Fox Omega, Knuckles was edited from a Sonic 3 & Knuckles pose ripped by Fox Omega (couldn't find that particular pose on the Ultimate Knuckles sheet), Amy from the Ultimate Amy sheet by Yoshindo, RadTH, AkumaTH, Killer, DP, Damien, BladeTH, Kharana, Scrap, Velota, Brohan, need4speed123, AdamTH, Hyperknux6, Duarte, Doed, Kithrixx, Cylent Night, Kajiin, Apocalypse, Bendilin, and others, Chaos Emerald from SupaChao's S3&K Chaos Emerald sheet, Chaos Emerald clouds edited from the afore-mentioned SupaChao sheet, and the champagne bottle edited (to make it fit in more) from the original bottle sprite from Super Mario Kart.
Blaze and Cream, not content with squeezing into the Genesis, head on off to the unfamiliar territory of the Game Gear. Both pixelarts in this hoax was edited from the official pixelarts by me. NO YOU CAN NOT USE THE PIXELARTS WITHOUT MY CONSENT
Now Blaze goes to tackle that very easy, yet somehow extremely hard boss of Sunset Park. (And, in case you forgot, Blaze goes to tackle that very easy, yet somehow extremely hard boss of Sunset Park.) Don't use that sprite without permission. Hand-editted by me, that is. Or hand-edited. It doesn't matter really, unless you're a grammar fanatic.
Cream in Robotnik Winter Zone. Eggman Nega Winter Zone. Robotnik Nega Winter Zone... whatever, doesn't matter, blah blah blah. DO NOT STEAL THE LIFE ICON OR SPRITE unless I tell you you can use it.
Oh look, it's me being totally unoriginal... but thankfully, Matt pulls on through to save this hoax! Cream sprite ripped Renn "Foxx" Ramos, plus an edit by me.
Remember how Tails upgraded and fixed the Tornado at the end of Wing Fortress? What if he didn't? The end result would probably be a little something like this. SupaChao made the destroyed Tornado sprite.
Sonic X: The Game... or a time paradox that caused the X Tornado to suddenly show up about 10 years earlier (and actually in a Sonic game)? The choice is ours! The X Tornado was sprited by Turbo the Hedgehog.
I end up being stuck into Sonic Advance 3. (The nametag is purple because it's what you get if you mix red and blue - which is what my character wears and is the color of his fur, respectively.) Nametag made using pieces from Frag's SA3 nametag sheet.
And this is what you'd get if you choose Cream as my partner... "Lovely Couple" indeed. Dark Sonic (not the SV hoaxer) ripped the SA3 character sprites, and Chaoita ripped the SA3 nametag sprites.
Sunset Park hits the Genesis/Mega Drive. I put as much detail into this as possible - note the attempt to Genesis-ize the Triple Trouble HUD. The train was made by Bruno the Rhino and DCS.
Gag hoax alert! Sonic thinks there are "hot chicks" as in girls on the beach, when in reality it's "hot chicks" as in Flickies who are hot on the sand. Oh, and Knuckles is there, too. Sonic's expression is (c) Dark Shrine, while the Tails pose is (c) Gabriel. Knuckles was edited by me.
It's Sonic the Hedgehog Country 2: Tails' Conquest, or something of the sort. I claim no credit for the idea - someone else inserted Sonic and Tails into DKC1, so I credit them. "Egg Cruiser" text made by Bitmap Font Writer. I also edited Cream slightly to make her look more 3D.
No, my hoaxing quality hasn't gone down the drain. This is supposed to be a jab at all the hoaxes that people new to the hoaxing experience might do. Everything I used in this hoax was ripped/made by their respective owners. (The text is SUPPOSED to be hard to read, by the way.)
An alternate version of the Sonic 2 ending. I always thought it was kind of weird how you never saw the full Death Egg in Sonic 2 except in the level select... this hoax fixes that problem. SupaChao and Scott Prower ripped the explosions, the Sonic 2 sprite was ripped by Snowflake, who may or may not be the SV hoaxer, and the Tornado was ripped by Madole.
Wing Fortress gets retextured! (After all, no one would paint a flying cruiser of death yellow, am I right?) This took a big chunk out of my spare time, so do not diss this hoax, please. The textures were taken from 3D Excellence.
Love Kirby's Avalanche music, love Mean Bean Machine, love the Sonic series, but can't have them all in one package? It's time to HOAX (c)! This is based off of an old idea I had for Avalanche - Poppy Bro Sr. becomes Tails, Wispy Woods becomes Rouge, etc. (The closeup was originally going to be from Sonic Battle, but I found out that Battle style clashes visually with Avalanche. I tried Advance 3 character select sprites, but those were too huge, so I finally decided on a SA3 story sprite) SA3 Story closeup ripped by "hyper sonic", Sonic Battle overworld sprite ripped by Nate the Hedgehog of Comic Demons.
A cutscene from "Sonic's Avalanche". Cheese is for some reason casting a huge shadow... sorry about that, but editing to make it smaller would be too much work. (Note that I edited the "Tee hee hee" to "Heh heh heh" because the former sounds too feminine, and would result in even MORE heavy-duty editing just too have Cream say it.) Sonic was ripped by Nate the Hedgehog again (from Comic Demons), and the Cream and Cheese sprites didn't leave a credit tag; free use, ahoy! (The missing period is in the game itself - play Kirby's Avalanche up to Lololo and Lalala, watch the cutscene, and obsoive.
As Matt would say, "Some marshmallow, along with that plumber and Bowser, takes to Sonic, Ray, and Mighty. Nice". Also as Matt would say, "Wibble, and such". Also, as the ALT caption would say, "Sonic'll win". (Matt, don't feel forced to use those captions.) Sonic was ripped by PanicPaladin and Ninja, Ray was ripped by Ninja and Ron-E, Mighty was ripped by PanicPaladin again. Everything else was ripped by me.
'Tis a tech hoax, which I'm not going to give the answer to. Figure it out for yourself. (In a way, this hoax is connected to the tech hoax below.)
This is also a tech hoax, and I'm still not going to give you the answer. (Don't think of looking at the filename... no hints there.) It's similar to the tech hoax above, as well.
It's Mega Man 3-D Blast! *is brutally murdered* ...No, seriously, lame pun aside. This came out looking pretty good, though there are still a few screw-ups here and there... and I'm not telling you where they are...
And ANOTHER girl-fied version of earlier Sonic games... it's Cream Adventures! This may not look like a whole lot, but please note the "CREAM'S HOUSE" text... EDITED FROM OTHER ZONE NAMES'D!
(YES I LIKE CREAM A LOT)
Tech hoax. Find the answer. Go on... find it. ...Oh, and yes. DO'T I LIKE A CREAM, DO I!
(Anyone who spots that reference wins super happy brownie points.)
This is exactly what it looks like; it's a followup to Cream Adventures (and check out that filename...) If you want to use the sprite, ask me first, or I will get angry. And you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
This is actually an older hoax, made around the StH&C hoax series, explaining the "bit mix". Cream ripped by (I forget), Sonic and Tails ripped by Fox Omega, Knuckles = no credit tag. Credit I them anyway.
Chances are pretty high you won't get this in-joke, so here's the deal - I was listening to Radio Disney one day, and this ad for "Monsters Inc. On Ice" came on. "Jake Jensen", who I'm pretty sure is a computer voice synth from the way he says "hope to see you there" (Hope to see you! There.), came on and said something like, "Join Sulley, Mike, and all your favorite Monstopolis monsters..." Inspiration hit me. The End.
When I typed up that intro sentence, I got the idea for this little hoax of mine. That's a hand-edited Gmerl you're looking at... it took me a while to recolor it. (Yes, I know the "GMERL" text is the wrong font, but I didn't have an "M" handy... that, and I was too lazy to do the alternative.)
Yeah, there's actually someone in the obscure NES game "Destiny of an Emporer" named Ma Chao, so I, having nothing better to do, made this hoax. Before you diss it for being a cheap hoax, please take into mind that I had to recolor the Chao to look 8-bit first (using the Mega Man palette), then recolor it in the sepia tone of the other mugshots.
